Who's On First

In our RENEW series we’re looking at some of the most familiar verses in the Bible. This week, we visit the first of the Ten Commandments. What would it mean for God to be first in your life? This week we will find ways to measure and move our lives toward living the first commandment.

Blessed Peacemakers

We live in a divided, polarizing time. Daily we are confronted with extreme sides on issues of the pandemic, race and justice, and politics. We can add struggles at work and home to the list too. In a broken world of messy relationships – God’s people are called to be reconcilers. The little letter to Philemon provides a blueprint for loving reconciliation.

In the Beginning

We’re beginning a new series called RENEW. We’re going to look at some of the most familiar passages in the Bible and find they still speak to us as they have to multiplied generations. God’s word is timeless and His truth always speaks to us. We begin at the beginning with Genesis 1:1.

Getting Through What You're Going Through

Because of the reality of our current circumstances, it’s pretty safe to say that we are all experiencing, or have experienced, some type of grief. God is not silent in our times of grief, no matter what type of loss we are grieving. He wants us to know of His presence, His love, and His power as we get through what we are going through.

Songs for the Heart

Today we’re going to do less preaching and more singing. What does God’s truth in song have to say to us times like these?

Write This Down

Do you have a hard time remembering things? We forget important dates, we forget where we put our cell phone, we forget something at the grocery store, we can even forget where we parked our car. We can be a forgetful people. Unfortunately, there are times where we can forget God and all his blessings. God knew this and so he reminds in His word not to forget. We are going to look at five key blessings that God has asked us to remember.

Momma Says

The Apostle Peter wrote a letter in the Bible we call First Peter. He writes as a spiritual parent or guardian to his spiritual children. In our verses today Peter provides instruction about the practical, spiritual life. It is what a godly mother would want her children to know.

Dear 18-Year-Old Me

We’re honoring our graduating high school seniors in our worship hours this week. I began thinking, “What I would say to the 18-year-old version of me.” Truthfully, it’s the same thing I’d say to the 58-year-old version of me and to anyone else, because God’s truth does not change.

Thankful in All Things

When life brings stress, change, pressure, fear, or disappointment, it is important to remember the good things God has done in our lives. This week, we focus on thanks to the Lord.

Stones of Remembrance

So much has changed in our world and day-to-day life in the last few weeks. Our new series “Remember” calls us to stand on the firm foundation of the things that do not change as we confidently face the future. Our faith is in God who “is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”
