Today we begin a new series of messages from Matthew 5-7. This section of Matthew’s gospel is referred to as the Sermon on the Mount. In this passage, Jesus teaches on what it means to be His disciple, His follower, His student. Jesus describes life in His Kingdom and under His authority.

Honoring Commitments

Growing people are those who make commitments and fulfill them. While we are called on to make commitments in all areas of life, are your commitments to God being squeezed out by lesser things?

A new school year and a new church year are about to begin. This season is a good time to reevaluate and restructure our lives for the Lord Jesus and His perfect plans for us. The little book of Lamentations gives us a blueprint for spiritual self-examination.

Giving God Our Best

Malachi is a book about worship. Worship is loving God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. Love is measured in our obedience, faithfulness, and commitment to the Lord. Our Bible passage today is an abrupt teaching from the Lord. We tend to minimize our disobedience but Malachi calls it what it is.

Forgotten God (2012)

History has shown us that when culture defines scripture we are like a boat without sail. The Bible is not judged by Culture, but the Culture should be judged by the Bible. As Christians the Scripture is what defines us.

Our Best

Today begins a new series of messages from the last book of the Old Testament, Malachi. The prophet’s message speaks to a time when heart-felt worship and commitment to God were rare. Our Bible study today will identify some key things that keep us from giving God our best in worship.

Unhindered

Today we conclude our series of messages from Acts. The last word in the book is “unhindered.” The Good News of Jesus is still good news. While Acts 28 is the last chapter in the book of Acts, the story of the church is still being written. That’s Acts 29.

In Changing Times

The world is constantly changing. Our lives are regularly confronted with change. How do we live well in changing times?

Caught in the Storm

In their journey to Rome, Paul and his traveling companions found themselves caught in a storm. God has great room to grow us to be more like Christ and to make Himself known to us in the storm. We will also explore some key anchors for the storms.

Almost

Today we will share the good news of Jesus Christ and celebrate that good news through the Lord’s Supper observance. Many people know the story of Jesus but their lives have not been captured by the story and they are still spiritually lost. Sadly, too many people will enter eternity having “almost” become followers of Jesus Christ. As a result they will “almost” spend eternity in heaven.
