In the Bible we learn that our sin has separated us from God. We are sinners and God is perfect and holy. We needed a bridge to God. We needed a way to have forgiveness of sin and relationship to God. Jesus is our Bridge
We will examine Paul's instructions to Titus regarding the role ordinary Christians play in the world.
Paul's letter to Titus contains encouraging words and challenging words. Today we take on the challenges to churches caused by false teaching, divisiveness and conflict. How can believers address such complex issues in Christ-honoring ways?
In this message, the Apostle Paul gives direction to Titus regarding the qualities of a spiritual leader. Leadership is influence and all of us exercise our influence in our circles of relationship. Each of us, as followers of Christ, should make every effort to grow in our influence for the Savior.
Today we begin a study of Paul's letter to Titus. Titus served in a spiritually hard place with hard people. The challenges were many. In such an environment, it is good to know you are not alone in the journey.
Today is our Connections Sunday. We will find applications for the message in mission and ministry connections beyond the walls of our church. Every believer needs a ministry in the church to the body of Christ, and every believer needs a mission in the world to those outside the walls. Prayerfully consider where God may be leading in your next steps in service.
Important meetings in our lives will require special preparations. What preparations are you making to meet with God? He invites us to come into His presence. We dare not do so thoughtlessly or carelessly. What preparations should we all consider before coming before the Lord?
How would we go about determining if we are a living, healthy church as called for in the Bible? What is the measure? Jesus said, "By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another" (John 13:35, ESV).
In Acts 1:8 Jesus tells His followers that "you shall be my witnesses." Do you consider yourself to be one of His followers? There is a clear, biblical job description that goes with that claim.
