Several recent national studies have come to a sad conclusion. They have found that there are few discernable differences between those who claim to be followers of Christ and the rest of world. The Bible teaches there should be a clear difference in those who call themselves “Christian.”
What is a Christian? Is it simply being born into a certain family or attending the right kind of church or believing the right doctrines? Billy Graham said, “Being a Christian is more than just an instantaneous conversion – it is a daily process whereby you grow to be more and more like Christ.” How do we live that kind of life?
Today, we are going to examine history’s greatest mystery. The word “mystery” is found 27 times in the New Testament. In the Bible, “mystery” doesn’t mean something that is permanently hidden, it describes a truth that was secret for a time; but at the proper time, it is fully revealed. Our text today will help each of us solve the mystery.
“Who is Jesus?” It’s a question everyone needs to answer. Everyone seems to have an opinion about Jesus. Who is Jesus to you? There is a right answer to the question. Our Bible passage today will provide a sweeping description of Jesus the Christ.
On this July Fourth weekend, we celebrate the greatness of our nation. Most would also quickly acknowledge our great need for meaningful changes. Colossians provides a pattern for changing a life or changing a nation in Christ-honoring ways.

Marriage is hard work. If God has called you into marriage then have a great marriage. If you think you might be led toward marriage someday, you need to know what it involves. If you are living in our society then you have contact with someone who is struggling in their marriage today and God can use you to encourage them forward. Marriage is God’s idea and it works well – God’s way. Let’s look at God’s way.
