Sacrifice is a foreign concept for most people. We often pray for God to protect us from anything that would make us uncomfortable or inconvenienced – anything that might call for sacrifice. Today our Generation to Generation journey takes us down the road of sacrifice. We will conclude our worship time considering Christ’s sacrifice for us at the cross as we celebrate the Lord’s Supper.
Today is our Generation to Generation Commitment Sunday. It is a sacred day whenever God’s people come to together to make commitments to their Lord. Today we introduce our Generation to Generation Campaign – our spiritual growth journey over the next two months. What does God wish to accomplish in our church and in our lives in this special season of ministry?
Today we continue our INVEST series on stewardship. Stewardship is our responsibility before God to use well what He entrusts to us. Today we look at the stewardship of one of our most valued commodities – our time.
Are you drowning in debt? Statistically, a good many Americans are. Debt brings strain and stress to families and to life. It also limits our ability to follow God when we find ourselves enslaved to debt. The Bible has great advice for overcoming the “debt-monster.”
Today begins a new journey. We are taking deliberate steps toward our September kick-off of Generation to Generation and a new church ministry year. This month we will look at all that God has entrusted to us and our responsibility and privilege to manage it for Him and His glory. We call that “stewardship.”
