In this series of messages we have talked repeatedly about what it means to follow Jesus. It’s not something that happens on autopilot. It’s not a “pick and choose” buffet line of spirituality. It’s not casual Christianity. It’s not blend in with the world “cultural Christianity”. It’s more than being a “fan” of Jesus. What does it cost to follow Jesus?
In our series Follow, we’ve said that a follower of Jesus is one who seeks to grow more followers of Jesus. Today we’ll focus our attentions on faithfully, consistently, and simply sharing our faith in Christ with people we know.
During our “FOLLOW” series we have talked about the importance of obedience and not just gaining knowledge. Knowledge is good but it’s useless until it’s put into action. God calls us to be obedient. Obedience begins with heart change. Until your heart changes, you won’t change.
Today we continue our FOLLOW series with a clear lesson from God’s word – Following Jesus as His disciples is better, easier, and more effective when we follow together.
What does it mean to follow Jesus? What comes with being a disciple of Jesus? When Jesus called out His first disciples, He tested them to see what was inside. Today we’ll see key characteristics of those who follow Jesus.
Today we begin a new sermon series exploring what it means to follow Jesus. Over the next several weeks we’ll explore what it means to “follow”.
