Tomorrow begins Vacation Bible School. It’s a big exclamation point to a year of reaching, teaching and ministering to children and their families. We have declared that children are important to the ministry of First Baptist Church. The week ahead of us gives testimony to that commitment. The Bible says children were important to Jesus, and we follow His example. How can we best impact the next generation with the Good News of Jesus Christ and teach them to know and love and serve the Lord?
You are building your influence resumé every day. If you are going to finish well, then what you do when you’re a teenager, college student, young adult or median adult will greatly impact where you finish. How do we walk with God for a lifetime rather than just for a season?
Potential is defined as “capable of being or becoming.” Potential is everything you could be but aren’t yet. How can we become followers of Christ who realize their potential instead of just talk about it?
No one sets out to wreck their life. The unfortunate reality is we find wrecked lives all around us. Crashes can happen at any stage of life. What can we do to get life right?
There is great power in our words. What are you doing with the word-power God has entrusted to you today?
In our fast-paced world, we are bombarded with images and ideas of how we should define ourselves. We’re told that money matters, looks matter, being seen with the right people matters. The list goes on. If we’re not careful, we can buy into those ideas and begin to let culture define and determine our value. We spend a lot of time and energy trying to "play the part;" and at the end of the day, we walk away tired and frustrated of playing the game. As followers of Christ, we only need to be worried about an audience of One. The Bible gives a clear picture of our definition and value as children of God.
Today, we are continuing a new series called “Living at the Speed of Life.” The series will address all sorts of issues relating to life, family, marriage, children and the challenges that go with making the important things important.

Financial issues touch everyone’s life. Worries, struggles, and fears are common to us all. We feel it personally but the impact is much greater than just personal. There are eternal implications to our financial situations and financial stewardship. What does God’s word have to say about managing our money in ways that honor God and impact eternity for Christ?
Today we continue our series on the “Road to Financial Peace.” The Bible teaches us how to manage our money in ways that will bring peace to our hearts and pleasure to the heart of God.
