Broken

Today we continue on the Road to Easter with the story of Adam and Eve. Sin entered the world and has left our world and our lives broken. The story of God’s love and grace is that He fixes broken things.

Reach

"Go and make disciples” such a simple term yet over time we have complicated it so much that fear, failure, and a host of thoughts paralyze us from being obedient to His command. What if that command was meant to set us free from those thoughts?

Don't Be a Jerk

A sad truth in our world today is that people have turned away from Jesus, not because of Jesus, but because of His followers. How can we be bridges to Christ and not stumbling blocks? It starts with loving each other the way Christ loved us.

GROUPS: Doing Life Together

Today we start a short two-week series entitled “Community: Loving One Another.” The topic of community/groups is one of the most fundamental issues facing churches and individual believers. It is not until we look back over the course of our lives that we begin to recognize the impact of the relationships that that we put around ourselves. We will begin to unpack the importance of community in the life a believer and how God uses the church community to reveal what His will is for our lives.

Lie #6: God Makes Life Easy

This lie says if you love God and you’re basically a good person then God’s job is to make your life happy, carefree, and always working out the way you think your life should work out. We are disappointed with God when life becomes hard, harsh, or painful. This lie may be one of the hardest for us to get past.

Today we continue our series, Six Lies American Christians Believe. The lies show up in what we say and how we live. This morning we consider a lie that has been around since Satan tempted Eve in the Garden of Eden. He asked, “Did God really say that?” Can the Bible mean whatever we want it mean? Is truth just relative?

We live in a sex-saturated world. The world sees Christianity’s view on sex as prudish, old-fashioned, and out of touch with today’s progressive lifestyles. More and more Christians are influenced by this thinking and have started to buy into the lie that God’s word is no longer relevant on the issue of sex.

Today we continue our series, Six Lies American Christians Believe. The lies show up in what we say and how we live. Today we take on one of the most popular and impossible of the six lies. Are all religions really the same and do they all lead to the same place?

Thriving Financially

Financial struggles, personal debt, and impulsive spending can bring stress to life and conflict in families. It can also become an obstacle to living a life that honors God. God has greater plans for you than that. Today we welcome Bruce Ammons back to our church. His ministry has been a blessing to many of us. Through practical, biblical principles Bruce will point the way toward thriving financially.

Lie #2: Good People Go to Heaven

“Good people go to heaven”…it sounds good and it seems to make sense. Why wouldn’t a good person get to be in heaven? Many Christians are not only buying into this lie but are also sharing this lie as truth. It’s vitally important that we get this lie corrected and know the truth about what God says.
