Our goal as a church is to move people to become fully developing followers of Christ. Why is it important to be a member of a church family? – Because it is vital to a person fully developing as a follower of Christ. What does it mean to be a church member?
What does it mean to become a Christian? What does it take to be in right standing with God and to live with His full forgiveness and the assurance that you are going to be with Him forever? Today we will make that as clear as we can.
Today we celebrate the three year anniversary of our Generation to Generation campaign. We also are celebrating the 135 anniversary of the founding of our church in Allen. There is much to celebrate!
Every Christian needs a ministry in the church and a mission in the world. Today is Connections Sunday. Prayerfully explore where God would have you to serve.
The Bible is the word of God. It is the voice of God speaking to our world and our lives. Are you fully engaged with God’s word? Are you a faithful student of the Bible (according to God’s evaluation)? May today encourage all of us to be a “people of the Book.”
Today in our Back to Basics series we go to the core of our belief. What does it mean to begin a relationship to God? How can we know we have eternal life in heaven? At the close of the worship time, we will celebrate life in Christ through the observance of the Lord’s Supper.
This will be an exciting year for our church. As we serve the Lord together here, we need a solid platform for our ministry together…a covenant of understanding. I ask you to join with me in these things. Paul called Timothy to value the things that are valuable. That’s what I want to do this morning.
People have a hard time with the idea that there is only one way to heaven. The world would say that particular belief is “intolerant” or “ignorant.” Even some in Christian circles say that God’s love will allow all people to come enter into heaven; He will not let anyone suffer an eternity separated from Him. This morning we are going to talk about why Christ alone is our only chance for salvation.
