The Bible tells us that God has taken the first step towards relationship with us. Now it’s our turn. We are glad to accept God’s gift of love and forgiveness…He’s our Savior. But many of us struggle with giving God total control and following His direction for our lives…letting Him be Lord. This morning we are going to look at what it means to let Jesus be Lord.
Can mortal human beings truly know the God of the universe, the One eternal Creator God? If you accept the Bible as God’s Word, and believe the message it presents climaxing in the coming of Jesus Christ, then the answer is a resounding “YES!”
It is not uncommon to hear a Christian say, “The Bible says…” The Bible provides the foundation for the Christian faith and right relationship to God. If what we believe about God, sin, salvation, and eternity is based on the Bible then we need to ask, “Is the Bible reliable?”
Most people believe that Jesus existed. You will find few people who believe He never lived. However, Jesus claimed to be God and He did so multiple times. Was He who He said He was? And if so, what difference does it make for you?
