God has brought us together for a common purpose: to love Him, to love each other, and to share His love with the world. It’s not an accident that God has placed us in this church, in this community, at this time. God’s plan is to use our church to have a powerful impact on our community.
Tomorrow begins a week of Vacation Bible School. It’s a churchwide effort. It is an exclamation point on a year-round emphasis on ministry to children. The largest building program in the history of our church was for the Children’s Building. Why should our ministries to children carry such priority? We need to look no further than to Jesus.

Marriage is foundational to family strength. Marriage is a living illustration of the relationship between Christ and His church. The Gospel itself is wrapped up in testimony of Christian covenant marriage. Let’s pray for and protect God’s plan for marriage.

In order for our families to be successful it is important that we love each other. Sounds simple but why are so many families struggling? One of the reasons is we don’t love each other well. Love is more than just an emotion. This morning we are going to look at what love requires.
When it comes to Family Matters, we all need to develop ever-increasing skills in the area of forgiveness. The people closest to you are likely the people you will hurt the most, intentionally or unintentionally. We will all need forgiveness and all need to offer it freely to others. Today is a great day to let some things go – for your sake as well as for others.
Parenting is hard. It is made even more difficult by the fact that we live in a world that oftentimes promotes a way of life that is contrary to what we want for our kids. It can seem like an overwhelming task. Fortunately, God has placed us in a position as parents (and as a church) and has equipped us to help point our kids to Him. This morning we will talk about what our kids need from us in order to give them a better chance at successfully navigating this X-Rated world.
Our Family Matters series has addressed a variety of topics that impact modern family life. Today’s topic certainly impacts our daily lives and our families. We will survey current issues and topics of concern and focus on Christlike response to our sexually-charged world.
