One of Jesus' most familiar teaching stories is the parable of the soils. Jesus taught, "A sower went out to sow..." After sharing the parable, Jesus interpreted the story for His disciples. He taught them that the seed was the word of God. The Sower was the same. The seed was the same. The difference in the story is found in the soils. What can we learn about the word of God and our own lives?
Jesus said, "If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples" (John 8:31, ESV). Jesus did not say, "If we do it for forty days and stop..."
