Why Does God Allow Pain And Suffering

If you were given an opportunity to ask God one question, what would it be? In several different surveys over the years there has been a question that is consistently listed as the number one question that people would ask and that’s the question we are looking at this morning. We may not know the answer to why but there are some things that we do know that can help provide hope and peace.

Is There A God

Today we continue in our Explore God series as we take a look at the question, “Is there a God?” People need to know that not only does God exist; He wants us to know He exists. God wants to be known. Today we are going to look at ways that God reveals Himself to us so that we can know Him and have a relationship with Him?

Does Life Have A Purpose?

Today we begin the seven week journey, Explore God. We’ll focus on seven common God-questions. We’ll find some solid God-answers. This morning we start with a foundational question.

Worship In Song

The Christian faith is a singing faith. Today we’ll celebrate our faith through some great songs with great stories.

Perspectives

Today our Rediscover God series takes us to an account from the ministry of Jesus that is reported in all four Gospels. Today we will explore the “Feeding of the 5,000” through the various perspectives of those who experienced it. How do you respond to “Jesus encounters?”

Right-Sizing

Words like “pressure”, “overworked”, “busy”, and “tired” are common in our descriptions of our lives. We are a driven people and life can quickly get out of balance and out of control. John the Baptist was a man who lived with passion and purpose. His days were never wasted and always packed, yet, his life was “right-sized” by a godly perspective.

Is There Another Way

Today as we continue our Rediscover Jesus sermon series, we look at Jesus’ personal and painful struggle in the Garden of Gethsemane. Jesus was hoping and praying for another way. Many of us have done the same thing, hoping and praying for another way. But Jesus ended his prayer with an act of submission. What can we learn today that will help us to end our prayers just like Jesus?

Anchors Of The Soul

The author of Hebrews wrote, “We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain, where Jesus has goneas a forerunner on our behalf” (Hebrews 6:19-20, ESV). We all need anchors for our souls. We need security, strength and hope. Where are we going to find such anchors?

Getting Past Your Past

Today we continue our summer series, Rediscover Jesus. Of all His encounters with individuals in the Gospels, the one today may be the most well-known, dangerous, misunderstood, and grace-filled. All of us have a past that separates us from God. How can you get past a sinful past?

Breathing Room

NOTE: Please watch the video below before you listen to the message. People are busier now more than ever before. When our schedules get full we have to let something go. Often times the first thing to go is what really matters the most. Today as we continue our summer series, Rediscover Jesus, we are going to look at an encounter that Jesus had with one of His close friends and how He helped her to refocus on what really matters.
