Today we are beginning a series on the family. Through sermons, seminars, special events and discipleship opportunities we’re going to dig into big issues of family. This morning we look at God’s plan for the family. His plans may be bigger than you think.
Our goal as a church is to move people to become fully developing followers of Christ. Why is it important to be a member of a church family? – Because it is vital to a person fully developing as a follower of Christ. What does it mean to be a church member?
Jesus is our model for serving God by serving others. We will spend time in God’s word learning more about Jesus’ example of service. We will then prayerfully explore our own next steps in service through our Connection Sunday.

It’s hard to believe that Christmas has come and gone. The tendency is to get so busy with the stuff of Christmas that we miss the Savior that came at Christmas. In life, like at Christmas, if we are not careful we can get distracted with the stuff of life and miss Jesus, the giver of life. Today we are going to look at common ways we miss Jesus.
The four Gospels each tell us why Jesus came. While the perspectives of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John are different, their conclusions are the same – Jesus is all we need.
God is working His purposes in the world. You can personalize that – God is working His purpose in you. He has a clear plan and purpose and though you may not always understand it, God is in control. Today we see the Christmas story through the lives of Joseph and Mary.
