The Sermon on the Mount is one of Jesus's most famous teachings, containing some of the most beloved verses in all of Scripture. In this sermon, Jesus explains what it means to be a part of the good life, which is known as the kingdom of heaven. This kingdom was brought to the present with His incarnation and will continue into eternity for those who believe in Him. Throughout three chapters, Jesus challenges the assumptions of our earthly kingdom and shows us how to strive for and participate in a better one.
