XA Student Ministries 101: Download pdf
Sending students into lives that are filled with love, hope and purpose in Christ.
Most student activities take place in The Curb, the Student Center of First Baptist Church Allen (view map).
XA Bible Fellowship Groups: Sundays | (MS) at 9:00 or 10:30 a.m., (HS) at 10:30 a.m.:: weekly Bible study for Middle School (grades 7-8) and High School (grades 9-12) students (expand/collapse)
BFGs are where students truly experience love, hope and purpose found in the Gospel. Small groups are at the heart of what we do as a student ministry. Our goal is to connect every student into a healthy, vibrant small group where they can live out Acts 2:42. "And they devoted themselves to the apostles teaching [purpose through Christ] and the fellowship [Christ's love demonstrated], to the breaking of bread [hope of Christ] and the prayers [God sending us out into the world]."
These activities are provided during the school year:
Refuge: Wednesdays | 6-7 p.m.:: exclusively for Middle School students (expand/collapse)
Join other Middle School students in discovering a movement that is impacting the world and changing lives with love, hope and purpose.
Rock: Wednesdays | 7-8 p.m.:: exclusively for High School students (expand/collapse)
Join High School students from across the area as we seek to take a stand for Christ, glorifying Him through moving to impact the community around us.
ONE: select Wednesdays | 7-8 p.m.:: Middle and High School students combined (expand/collapse)
Once a month, students from across the area come together to lift the name of Christ through love, hope and purpose.
Challengers/Acteens: Wednesdays | 6-7 p.m. (HS) & 7-8 p.m. (MS):: equipping students to go and make disciples (expand/collapse)
Challengers (for guys) and Acteens (for girls) focus on being missionally minded and challenge students to live out Acts 1:8, not only in foreign countries, but in the communities in which they live.
